Add an app to the phone Neow

Adding a new application

(Requires app Neow parent and a phone Neow with version 2026 of the application).

Have you spotted an application on the Play Store and want to make it available for your child? Here's how to do it in less than two minutes, directly from your phone.

1. Open the Play Store

Depending on your device, access the Play Store via the Android app or by opening play.google.com in your browser (Safari or Chrome on iPhone).

2. Search for the app

Type the name of the application in the Play Store search bar to access its profile.

3. Tap “Share”

On the application page, tap the icon Share. Your phone's sharing menu opens.

4. Select Neow in the menu

From the list of proposed applications, choose Neow. It is this step that sends the application to your private whitelist.

If you don't see Neow In the list, scroll or tap "More" to view all available apps.

5. Check the information displayed by Neow

Neow may tell you that this application is not suitable for a child — you can still choose to authorize it by confirming that you are aware of the possible risks.

For flagged apps, your explicit confirmation is required. It's additional protection, not a blockage.

6. Choose your child's phone

If you have multiple phones registered in your account, select the one on which you want to make the app available.

Done — your child can install the app!

The app immediately appears in your child's phone library. He or she can install it directly, without any further manipulation on your part.

In your application Neow parent, you can:
  • Assign specific screen time to this new application;
  • Remove the application at any time;
  • Consult the daily usage time.

Learn more about classification Neow:

In addition to PEGI age recommendations from the Google Play Store, Neow has designed its own classification into three groups — to give you a clear view and keep you in control.

What is PEGI? This is the European system for classifying digital content (games, apps). Neow draws on these recommendations, but goes further by analyzing other criteria specific to the uses of young people.

Group 1: Approved applications

These applications were selected by Neow for their usefulness and reliability among young users. Your child can install them freely, without you having to intervene.

🟢 Free installation

Group 2: Applications with parental authorization

These applications have characteristics that deserve your attention: algorithms designed to capture attention, exposure to unsuitable content, sharing of personal data, circumvention of rights on networks (VPN, Box operators) etc. Your child cannot install them alone.

As a parent, you can choose to allow some of these apps. You will then receive an explicit warning about the potential risks, and you will have to confirm your agreement before any installation.

🟠 Parental consent required

Group 3: Unrated applications

These applications have not yet been analyzed by Neow. They are neither recommended nor discouraged. If you wish to authorize some of these for your child, you can do so from your parent space, without specific warning.

🔵 Authorization possible without alert

💡 Good to know: Whatever the category, you always have control. From the app Neow, You can add or remove any app from your child's personal list at any time.
