What is the difference between a classic Android smartphone with Family Link and a Neow smartphone?

A classic Android smartphone with Family Link remains, at its core, a phone designed for adult use. Family Link is added to an already open system: the browser is present, social networks are available on the Play Store and certain restrictions can be circumvented. Management is often limited to overall screen time, with little real control over apps and content.

With Neow, Family Link is also integrated, but in a way inseparable from the system. Parental controls are part of the phone's architecture, which is based on Android modified with a specific overlay. The environment is locked from the start and designed for secure adolescent use.

Concretely:

  • The Play Store is replaced by the Store Neow, a store of pre-selected applications. Parents can add apps to it.
  • The child does not see applications to which he does not have access.
  • Social networks are absent by default. Allowing them requires additional security steps.
  • No search engine or web browser is accessible without parental validation.
  • Restrictions, even via Family Link, cannot be circumvented by the child.
  • The phone can gradually evolve according to the child's needs, but always under the parents' control. It may be unclampable.

Where a classic Android with Family Link tries to limit an already open system, Neow integrates parental controls at the heart of the phone, by creating a secure framework from the start to prevent abuses rather than correct them.

What is the difference between mobile phones without internet and Neow?

Unlike a phone without internet like the Nokia 3310 or the Nokia 105, which are very limited in uses, Neow smartphones offer a more complete and controlled framework. Thanks to a specific interface and parental control tools, parents can control the applications available, the management of screen time (overall and by application) and access to certain uses such as online games. This tends to limit addiction to screens. Neow smartphones thus offer a balanced alternative, between simplicity, autonomy and security, without switching to a smartphone that is too closed or too open.

Are there parental controls in NEOW?

Yes, the NEOW works with Android. It has its own parental controls and you can configure Google's parental controls, Family Link. You can help yourself with getting started guide.

Via our system you can:

  • Modulate the application store to choose those to which your child will have access via the parent page
  • Block applications that you do not want your child to download,
  • Manage usage time and time slots by applications and those of NEOW in totality
  • Geolocate the phone
What does the Neow box contain?

Our Neow smartphones are sold with:

  • A USB-C cable
  • A user manual
  • A warranty card
  • An illustrated silicone case (only for NEOW Kids)
  • A transparent silicone case (only for NEOW Safe)
Do I need to create an account to order?

No, it is not necessary to register.

However, we highly recommend it! By creating an account, you will be able to benefit from a faster checkout process, easily track your orders, save your favorite products and receive exclusive offers and updates.

What is your warranty policy?

The buyer has a period of 2 years from delivery of the goods to act and benefit from the guarantee.

Our after-sales service will determine whether the product should be repaired or replaced.

How to contact technical service?

Our technical service is available and reachable Monday to Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.

How does NEOW work?

The NEOW works like a classic Android smartphone, but with fewer features:

There's no internet search bar, and a custom Store with a few apps you can download. All others are blocked.
The store can be modified from the parent page. Find the tutorial here.

Is there internet?

Yes, NEOW works with the internet to use the applications but there is no possibility of searching on the internet.

Is there wifi?

Yes, you can connect the NEOW to wifi.

Is there bluetooth?

Yes, you can use Neow's Bluetooth to connect it to wireless headphones, a smart watch, speakers, etc.

Should we put a SIM card in the NEOW?

Yes, to use the NEOW's call, message and 4G features, you need to insert a Nano format SIM card with a plan.

Which package should you choose for NEOW?

Here's what you need:

  • SIM card in Nano SIM format
  • Mobile plan with calls, SMS and a small volume of data (around 500 MB/month is enough)
  • No commitment recommended (more flexible)

No need for a big data plan! NEOW does not allow you to browse the Internet, so consumption is low.

Compatible packages:

  • All traditional operators (SFR, Orange, Bouygues, Free)
  • Low-cost operators (Sosh, RED, B&You, etc.)
Does NEOW have a camera?

Yes, the NEOW has a main camera and a front camera. The shooting resolution depends on the model.

There are also downloadable applications that allow you to do photo editing, retouching, etc.

What is the battery life?

The battery depends on the model chosen. You can find all these characteristics on our product pages.

My child no longer remembers their 4-digit code, what should I do?

Unfortunately, without the phone's unlock code, you can do nothing; it must be sent back to customer service.

Orders

From the cart to validation, we explain how it works.

How can I be sure my order is confirmed?

Once your order is finalized, you will receive a confirmation email with all the details (product, price, address, etc.). If you have not received it within an hour, remember to check your spam or contact us.

Can I cancel an order?

Yes, you can cancel your order as long as it has not yet been shipped. Contact us as soon as possible via the form or by e-mail with your order number. After shipping, you will have to wait for the delivery to request a return.

Is it possible to pay later?

No, payment must be made at the time you place the order.

With Klarna, however, you can opt for a payment in installments.

How long does it take to receive my order?

For deliveries in Metropolitan France and Corsica, the delay is 3 days from the day following the day on which the buyer placed his order, according to the following terms: LA POSTE Colissimo, Chronopost. At the latest, the period will be 30 working days after the conclusion of the contract.

For deliveries in the DOM-TOM or another European Union country, the delivery terms will be specified to the buyer on a case-by-case basis during the order.

How can I know if my order has been shipped?

We provide you with a copy of the contract via email.
