If you don't see Neow In the list, scroll or tap “More” to view all available apps.

5.Check the information displayed by Neow

Neow may tell you that this application is not suitable for a child: you can still choose to authorize it by confirming that you are aware of the possible risks. We encourage you to accompany your child when using this application in order to verify that it does not present any danger to them.

For flagged apps, your explicit confirmation is required. It's additional protection, not a blockage.

6.Choose your child's phone

If you have multiple phones registered in your account, select the one on which you want to make the app available.

It's done, your child can install the application!

The app immediately appears in your child's phone library. He or she can install it directly, without any further manipulation on your part.

In your application Neow parent, you can:

  • assign specific screen time to this new application;
  • remove the application at any time;
  • consult the daily usage time.

Learn more about classification Neow

In addition to PEGI age recommendations from the Google Play Store, Neow has designed its own classification into three groups to give you a clear vision and keep you in control.

What is the PEGI ?

This is the European system for classifying digital content (games, applications). Neow draws on these recommendations, but goes further by analyzing other criteria specific to the uses of young people.

Approved applications

🟢 Free installation(Whitelist Neow)

These applications were selected by Neow for their usefulness and reliability among young users. Your child can install them freely, without you having to intervene. You can set a usage time (0 minutes to block it).

Applications with parental authorization

🟠 Parental consent required(Blacklist Neow)

These apps have features that deserve your attention, including:

  • algorithms designed to capture attention;
  • exposure to unsuitable content;
  • sharing of personal data;
  • circumvention of rights on networks (VPN, operator boxes);
  • in-app messaging exposing users to unidentified third parties;
  • promotion of prohibited products, counterfeits or dangerous products;
  • Conversational AI.

Your child cannot install them alone. As a parent, you can choose to allow some of these apps. You will then receive an explicit warning about the potential risks, and you will have to confirm your agreement before any installation.

If, despite your agreement, the application does not appear on your child's phone, it is because it is not authorized on their account by the Google Play Store given their declared age (PEGI).

Unrated applications

🔵 Authorization possible without alert(Group 3)

These applications have not yet been analyzed by Neow. They are neither recommended nor discouraged. If you want to authorize some of these for your child, you can do so from your phone by following the tutorial earlier on this page.

Good to know
