Compliance charter

Neow designs a safe and suitable digital environment for children and adolescents. This charter presents the solution’s compliance commitments Neow, its applications and its service, with regard to applicable regulations and best practices.

1.Purpose and commitment

KONROW, publisher of the solution Neow, is committed to designing and operating its applications and services in compliance with the French and European legal framework, as well as the principles of child protection. This charter is likely to evolve with regulations and the product.

2.Protection of personal data

Processing complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Data Protection Act: data minimization, specific purposes, limited retention periods and respect for individual rights. The details are in the Privacy Policy.

3.Protection of minors and digital majority

Neow is in line with the spirit of the law of July 7, 2023 aimed at establishing a digital majority and fighting against the early exposure of children to unsuitable content. The service is based on the exercise of parental authority: it is the parent who activates and configures parental control.

4.Age Verification

Verification of the Administrator's age is carried out by a specialized service provider, using an approach that respects privacy: identity documents and real age are not kept by Neow, only the verification status (valid or not) is transmitted.

5.Information security

KONROW implements technical and organizational measures proportionate to the risk in order to protect accounts and data: access control, encryption of exchanges, partitioning of access and regular security checks. The level of detail of the measures remains deliberately general so as not to expose the service.

6.Accessibility

Neow aims for a good level of accessibility of its interfaces, based on WCAG recommendations and the RGAA (targeted level AA). The terms and means of contact appear in the Accessibility charter.

7.Transparency and ethics

Neow is a transparent tool and not a covert surveillance device. No targeted advertising, no commercial profiling and no resale of data is practiced. The only statistics produced are aggregated and anonymized, for the purposes of improving the service.

8.Equipment compliance

Smartphones Neow are marketed in accordance with European regulations applicable to electronic equipment: CE marking, limitation of the specific absorption rate (SAR) and participation in the collection and recycling of electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE). The solution Neow is designed and developed in France.

9.Continuous improvement

KONROW regularly reviews its practices to take into account legislative and technological developments and user feedback. Any substantial changes to this charter are brought to the attention of users.
