CGU Neow (V2.x)
Parental control app Neow · Short version
These General Conditions of Use (the “T&Cs”) govern the use of the applications and the service. Neow : the application Neow Parent (iOS and Android), the application Neow Child (Android) and the server service (backend) that runs them. By creating an account or using a phone Neow, you accept these T&Cs. If you do not agree to all or any part of these Terms, please do not use the Service.
1.Purpose and scope
Neow is a parental control solution composed of an application intended for the parent, an application installed on the child's phone and a server service ensuring synchronization and application of the rules defined by the parent. These T&Cs only govern the use of these applications and this service. They are distinct from the General Conditions of Use of the merchant site neow-kids.com and the General Conditions of Sale, which are the subject of separate documents.

3.Definitions
- Administrator (or Parent): adult person, holder of parental authority, who creates the account and configures parental controls.
- User (or Child): the minor who uses the telephone Neow supervised.
- Telephone Neow : the child's device on which the application is installed Neow Child.
- Pairing : the operation that associates a telephone Neow on behalf of an Administrator.
- Setup : all the rules defined by the Administrator (screen time, curfew, authorized applications, filtering, etc.).
4.Parent account
Creation and verification
Creating an account requires a valid email address. A verification email, valid for 24 hours, is sent upon registration. The account remains inactive until the address has been verified. The account is reserved for an adult exercising parental authority over the User.
Credential security
The password must match the rules defined in the interface in order to provide the required level of security. Changing the password will revoke all open sessions. The change of email address is carried out according to the established security protocol. The Administrator is responsible for the confidentiality of his identifiers.
5.Pairing and managing phones
When first started, the phone Neow registers with the service. To associate it with his account, the Administrator opens a secure pairing session. The child with the help of the parent must confirm the association. Only one pairing session can be active at a time per device.
The Administrator can unpair a phone at any time. Unpairing takes effect immediately: the device's access to the service is revoked and the event is logged. An unpaired device can then be re-associated with an account.
6.Parent app features
From the app Neow Parent, the Administrator may:
- turn the child’s phone on or off;
- define a daily screen time per application or per application category and occasionally grant additional minutes;
- set a curfew (start and end times during which use is restricted);
- manage allowed or blocked applications using a private whitelist, and set a time limit per application;
- choose an internet content filtering provider from those offered;
- activate one-time geolocation of the child's phone.
Configuration changes are applied to the child's phone when it syncs with the service.
7.Child app
The app Neow Child offers a restricted and secure digital environment. It applies the configuration defined by the Administrator and notifies the User that the device is subject to parental control. Neow is a transparent tool and not a covert surveillance device.
8.Role and responsibilities of the parent
The Administrator alone defines the configuration of parental control and assumes responsibility for it, as part of the exercise of parental authority. It is his responsibility to inform the User of the existence of the control, in a manner appropriate to his age. When the Administrator authorizes an application marked as unsuitable, he confirms having been aware of the possible risks, and having been informed of the need to support the user in using the application. Parental supervision remains essential: no protection system is infallible.
9.Safety and proper use
The service implements security measures, including:
- strict access control ensuring that an Administrator only accesses the devices and data attached to them;
- limitations on the number of requests intended to prevent abuse;
- security event logging;
- immediate revocation of access in the event of unpairing, disconnection or password change.
The user undertakes not to attempt to circumvent, deactivate or divert the protection mechanisms of the service, nor to disrupt its operation.
10.Availability and developments
KONROW strives to ensure the availability and reliability of the service, without being able to guarantee it on an ongoing basis. The service may be suspended or restricted for maintenance, updates or technical reasons. Features and configuration may evolve to improve security and quality of service.
11.Personal data
The data processed as part of the service is in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The terms and conditions are described in the Privacy Policy. Data from deleted accounts is not retained: only security logs are retained, accessible only in the event of a security issue and upon special request.
12.Intellectual property
Applications Neow, the service and all of their contents (software, texts, images, logos, brands) are the exclusive property of KONROW or its partners. Any reproduction, distribution or use, even partial, without prior written authorization is prohibited.
13.Account deletion
The Administrator can request the deletion of his account from the application. Upon request, all devices are unpaired and access revoked.
14.Responsibility
KONROW cannot be held responsible for service interruptions, possible technical anomalies, nor for the consequences of inappropriate configuration, non-compliant use or circumvention of protections by a third party or by the User. The Administrator remains responsible for his use of the service and for the supervision of the User.
15.Modification of the T&Cs
KONROW reserves the right to modify these T&Cs at any time. Any substantial modification is brought to the attention of users by notification in the application or by e-mail. The applicable version is that in force on the date of use of the service.
16.Applicable law and disputes
These T&Cs are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, an amicable solution will be sought as a priority. Failing this, the French courts have jurisdiction, subject to the protective rules applicable to consumers. For any questions relating to personal data, a complaint can be sent to the CNIL.
